      Colour & Taste
Belgians clearly prefer white potatoes for their fries. The potato variety Bintje is their favourite. Preferably fried twice. Belgian fries are typically thicker and have a real potato flavour. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Preferably deep-fried in animal fat rather than oil, giving them a unique, rich flavour.

If you want to serve Belgian fries, we recommend Aviko La Cuisine Belge Artisanale fries.

There’s a huge love for loaded fries, with toppings like cheese, bacon, and sour cream. Classic salted fries are the go-to, but seasoned fries (with garlic, paprika, or onion powder) are also very popular. The preference in Fast Food is thin fries and in gourmet fast food restaurants and food trucks, you are more likely to see a thicker variety.

If this cuisine appeals to you, then you should really try our Wavy Blends fries.
