Churros with white and dark chocolate sauce

Churros are a popular Spanish dessert that is quite popular in the US. They are made with simple choux pastry fried in hot oil and coated in cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients (6 servings):

  • 1 kg Aviko Straight Churros
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 100 g dark chocolate 64%
  • A handful of roasted and mashed hazelnuts
  • 3 big spoons of cocoa
  • 3 large spoons of coconut flakes

Method

  • Prepare the churros according to the instructions on the package. 
  • Break the chocolate into small pieces and put them in two bowls - white chocolate for one, dark chocolate for the other. 
  • Melt the chocolate au bain-marie. To prevent the chocolate from becoming stiff, add a teaspoon of vegetable oil (for example, coconut oil).
  • Dip the churros in the chocolate and sprinkle with the nuts, coconut and cocoa.
