Although the replacement of palm oil with sunflower oil has major consequences for the processing in the factories, and will therefore at times be challenging, we can certainly see the benefits as well. Using more environmentally friendly products, such as sunflower oil, provides an opportunity for Aviko to improve its global footprint. In May, the factory in Lomm will be the first switch to sunflower oil; other factories will follow after rigorous testing in the production lines.
The move to sunflower oil is an excellent opportunity for Aviko to enhance its brand positioning of all Aviko Premium fries brands and to show leadership and authority. And this is also the perfect moment for a new design for the packaging!
For the new design, we decided to stimulate chefs and buyers of our Premium fries with images that evoke more emotion. The images are warm and cover the entire packaging to create an appetizing impression. It's as if the products have just been served onto their restaurant table! The dark blue color emphasizes the premium quality and the transparent panel and the striking labels provide appropriate functional information about the product
All brands from the Premium range will be given this new packaging: Aviko Premium Super Crunch, Skinny Fries, frozen Pure & Rustic fries, Super Longs, Sweet Potato, La Cuisine Belge, and, at a later stage, Turbo Fries.
The new packaging for the Premium fries brands will be launched in the phases. Premium Super Crunch will soon be available in its new guise and later this year, starting with the new harvest, the other Premium fries brands will follow (in phases)!
